View Poll Results: if hillary ran against condi in '08, who would win the majority african american vote
just to make clear (although i'm sure most people know this), about 90 to 95% of african americans are democrats.
Alot of good that has done for the democratic party.
According to the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies (a Washington D.C. based black political research institute) found that between 2000 and 2004 the percent of blacks that registered Democrat dropped by double-digit percentages.
Meanwhile, one in three young blacks say they are independents, and the percent of blacks registered as Republicans has tripled.
Still a huge majority are registered democrats...but the DNC is going to have to quit taking the black vote for granted if they want to get back in the white house.

i voted for hillary (this poll being the only place that will ever happen). i think that condoleezza will be seen by too many as a traitor to win a majority, but she would certainly make a dent.
I figured Hillary would get the majority of the black vote due to the fact that a large majority are registered Demos. Times are changing however and if the Demos don't do something to keep the black vote, they are going to lose big time.

Arguably if condi gets 32% of the black vote - she wins the election.

the number would not have the same significance. you would have to find out the percentage of racist republicans versus the number of black democrats. wouldn't even be close.

you are right - I am sure the number of racist Republicans would be much higher...

No, you would need to know the number of racist republicans vs the number of black democrates who would vote republican based on race.

This is getting confusing. What about the number of black racist Democrats who would vote against Hillary and the number of feminist Republicans who would vote for her cause she's gay.
