Childbirth looks easy. I think I could do it on my lunch break. Not miss a minute of work.

I dare you to mention this to your wife in about, oh, seven weeks.

It sure was for my wife.....

Two pushes and my son was out.

One push and my daughter was out.

Had to be in "actual" labor less than 30 minutes with both of our children.

Not childbirth, but my forearm was split open while I was on a boat this summer in Wisconsin. The post on the dock took my arm one way and the boat went the other. Grateful that my wrist didn't feel broken, I didn't notice the blood and tissue spilling out of the arm.

Nice scar.

19 yrs old. Motorcycle wreck. shin blown open. No broken bones, but 40 sutures to put the muscle back together, 40 stiches on the skin. A week later the swelling is enough to make those stitches dig in to my inflamed skin causing a pain that made me forget my own name. found mom's tiny scissors and cut the stitches. Doctor was PISSED. But he did get me better pills....
29 years old. got a 'roid that blew up. Went to County. They cauterized and stitched it. No big deal. However - while waiting for pain pills at the County pharmacy, the local anasthetic wore off. It felt like hot needles down there. I took off my shirt, clenched my teeth on the rolled up fabric and laid in a fetal position on the floor with tears streaming down my face. A one-legged man crutched over to me and asked "What's the trouble?". I let loose of the t shirt to gasp out "'roid!". He replied "I feel bad for you".
