My parents were cheap when it came to shoes, my brother and I got 1 pair a year. When I say, "per year" I mean January to December, not the school year. So we had to make these puppies our sport, dress and school shoes. I darn near wore out to soles every year.
Then my sister, 8 years my senior, comes along and she get's 23 pairs of shoes a year. I'm still jaded to this day

Asics running shoes. Try on a pair and compare them to an equally priced Nike. If you can look past the Nike image, I'd bet you'd prefer the asics. I find them more comfortable, lighter, and more breathable.
if you are running/jogging, and you aren't wearing New Balance, your feet should sue you.
The first pair of running shoes I bought were NB. I have a pair of Nike's I got from Mervyns, and they were uncomfortable when I first bought them. I am breaking them in though.
What kinda shoes does it matter? Does it make you ework out better? I used to wear Chucks and still woop ass on the court before I got the reebok pumps..
Thanks for that. I need a new pair, so I will check these out.
My wife was getting shin splints jogging...switched to NB and she was good to go. She ran them dead over the year, and is now getting another pair. Seriously, pain was completely gone. They are made for running on asphalt/concrete. Good shoes.

I was at Sports Authority yesterday and noticed Under Armour have their workout shoes available. I'm skeptical about purchasing a pair until I hear a bunch of good reviews.
