Supplements?

A few years back before the my little one came along I was in great shape and working out with a trainer. I also was taking Zenadrene before they pulled the ones with affedra (sp?). For me it worked very well and never caused any problems. Anyone else use anything or have any suggestions.

I feel as though your diet should be clean and an exercise program should be habitual before adding to many supplements. However, there are several "supplements" that should be included in a clean diet that I would condsider - fish oils, milled flaxseed, flaxseed oil, and whey protein if you need a fast convenient source of additional protein.

You can get it at GNC if you don't want to wait for the mail.

I think this thread should be 'Sticky'.

We can post on favorite supplements and this way everyone will be able to see.

What say yee?

Oh... wait for them in the mail. GNC will rip you off compared to bodybuilders.com. Do a price comparison and you'll see.

JPlay.... you on a creatine cycle? How many weeks?

I have heard that you should only take creatine for 12-15 week cycles.

I've never heard that, but I usually miss a week when I run out. that's usually after 10-12 weeks of using.

Creatine has come a long way. This is the stuff I have been taking and you don't load, etc. Just take it before your workout.

I have been taking it for the 25 workout cycle and then off for a month.

I have found that http://www.dpsnutrition.net/ has some of the best prices around.

Loading creatine is pointless, it just gets converted into the byproduct creatinine and urinated out (side note: stay hydrated when supplementing anything).

Lee Labrada was a fantastic bodybuilder, and runs a stand-up business. I am a DCer though and buy all of my protein through www.trueprotein.com

Their ion-exchange whey's AA profile is insanely high, and I know the guys that run the business personally.

For

creatine try Vitargo. Also try noexplode and Gakic.
There is a sup called energy by N.O.W. Don't use it much anymore.
Atheletes pac is the same as animal pac to a tee, and may be cheaper.
Recovery is important to me because I like getting in and out of the gym.
The no-explode and gakic really seem to help with high intensity work outs
