Sleep poll

I just got back from some shopping, and half the people in the store were yawning, myself included. I thought it would be interesting to find out about the sleep habits of the posters on here.

Q: How are you sleeping?

I usually try to go to bed by 10:00p. Usually fall asleep within 5-10 minutes, if that. Wake up at 6:15 feeling tired and am run down most of the day.

I'm definitely a late nighter. Usually go to bed after 1:00 am. A habit I developed from my college days. But I'm usually ok if I get 5-6 hours of good sleep.

I have a much more difficult time getting enough sleep during the school year. I am a night owl, NOT a morning person! I have to FORCE myself to go to bed by 10 or 11. My alarm goes off at 6 am to start getting the kids and myself ready for the day. Last night, for example, I didn't actually lay down until nearly midnight, alarm still went off at 6, but I snoozed it for 30 minutes. I feel wiped out today. Granted, it doesn't help that my youngest woke me up 4 times during those short 6 hours of sleep I got, she had everything from a bad dream to needing to go potty. Fun stuff.

I'm such a night owl. I don't get home until 7:00, so I have to eat, relax, go to class (online), spend time with my family, watch the news, then hit the gym (24hrs) by the time that's all done, it's usually 2am at least. God forbid I get pulled into a lil PS2. Then I'm lookin at 3am!

My new mattress is helping some but I'm a horrible sleeper. When I can make the time to do it I'm going to get checked out to make sure I don't have sleep apnea. I'm often tired during the day (but never feel sleepy driving luckily) and it's not uncommon for me to fall asleep by 9pm(I get up at 5;30 every day for work).

As mentioned before I know I snore and I'm not sure if I just wake myself up, or if I'm stopping breathing(apnea) and that wakes me up. Regardless I'm not getting enough sleep that's for sure.

I sleep betwen 7.5 to 8 hours. I go to bed between 9:30 and 10pm and wake up at 5:30 am. I fall asleep very quickly. My wife has issues with sleep and gets frustrated that I am out in 5-10 minutes.

I haven't been able to sleep since I was 15 and my parents took away my blankey. They said it was time to be a grown-up but I have been unable to sleep for more than 4 hours at a time since

I often don't sleep well, but it's not because I stay up too late or get up too early. Sometimes I just don't sleep.

Not a great sleeper here. Takes a loooong time for me to get to sleep, but once I'm there, I'm usually ok. I am almost always up late, but working on it. Went to bed EARLY (9:30pm) last night & woke up at 6:45. Ask CQ, that is CRAZY for me. On average, I get 6-7 hours per night and am usually not cranky the next day but at 2pm I am wanting a nappy. Hardly ever get one though. boo hoo!

Normally I can fall asleep pretty quick (about 5-10 minutes).

During the school year I am lucky to get 7-8 hours of sleep.

I never seem to keep a regulated sleep schedule.. I am either staying up too late studying, drinking, partying, or I sleep in too late or wake up too early.

I love and miss sleep

Oh you're one of those Brady Bunch sleepers! I used to always laugh at how quickly they went to sleep on the show. As soon as their head hit the pillow. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

I get 3-6 hours of sleep a night. Usually am not tired the next day if it's 5-6 hours. If 3-4, I'll need a 5-10 min nap in the afternoon to recharge, but after that, I'm good.
