Protein powder
As a vegetarian, I find it difficult to get all the protein I need, especially now that I am working out on a regular basis. Anyone use protein powder in their diets? Any recommendations as far as a specific brand of protein powder? Also, how do you use it? Thanks.

I buy my protein powder from Costco. I think the brand is Premier Protein, or something like that. I usually throw some frozen berries into the blender to spice it up a bit. 2 scoops mixed with milk gets you about 50 grams of protein.

50g? Are you sure? That's a lot, which is a good thing!

Pretty sure. A normal serving (one scoop) is 20, but I double up. When you add the milk you get up to about 50 or so.

My daughter has some low blood sugar issues, so I decided to keep some protein powder on hand in case she starts feeling it. I bought GeniSoy Soy Protein Powder, based on our attempts to go vegetarian, since I wasn't sure how other protein powders derive their protein. I got the unflavored stuff to add to milk or whatever because it had the highest number of grams of protein per serving...25/per. Ash says it's gross, but they do make chocolate & vanilla flavored as well. She has only tried it in milk, but it says it can be added to juice, which may taste better.

I use GNC Pro Performance 100% Whey Protein. It comes in all kinds of flavors like chocolate, banana, vanilla, chocolate malt, and strawberry.
Tastes great.
I drink a shake using it every morning after exercising.
Plus if you join GNC's club you can get it at a discounted rate and get good sales offers.

I use Natures Best Ispure powder. I recommend the site DPSNutrition.com. They have a lot to choose from.
