My new diet plan.

Tell me what you guys think. I really feel that eating vegetarian for two and a half days out of the week will help me drop a few extra pounds and gain a little more lean. I don't know for a fact, but I've always assumed that a diet low in meat will generally help you keep a lot of excess fat off of your frame. Of course I eat more veggies and fruit in the interim, and I've turned up the cardio even more. I also feel that I may start seeing some health benefits as well. With what they do to meat in processing and all, I just felt my body could use some sort of a break. Meat every damn day just got too monotonous. I have to think a lot more when coming up with healty alternatives to a non meat dinner and lunch. What are you guys opinions on this tactic?

2 days out of the week will prolly not do much for you. Cutting back on fat (of any kind) will accomplish the same thing; i.e., lean meats and low fat cheese, etc.

Philly, if you're gonna eat vegetarian for two days, make sure you eat good, healthy food, not pizza and pasta.

Hey Philly. I have done the same thing and since March have gone from 255 down to 205! I probably eat more than two vegetarian days a week when summed up, but I don't consciously eat whole days at a time. However, I am eating more vegetarian meals overall, watch the serving size, watch the snacks to mostly none, and then have a couple tequilla drinks every night.

The drinks are one to two a night, I don't measure the tequilla, a few ounces of tequilla in a large tumbler wtih ice, diet ginger ale, and a little bit of cranberry juice. Like a 32 ounce size glass. These drinks are called Red Headed Mexicans!

Sit ups done in strict form, and push ups, have helped keep my metabolism going. I walk and run when I can, but usually not more than a couple times a week.

Just wanted to encourage you!

I still have a gut feeling Shaq will be better next season (2008/2009) after our docs have a full off season to work their magic on the Big Saguaro!

Good lookin out Yuma! I may increase my veggie meals if I can work it in. It's tough to find enough veggie meals for more than a few days.
