Go to a pharmacy; I had a molar break dang near right in half, and the dentist told me to get this stuff that you pack where it broke off--it lasts for a day (tops) but it's not expensive, and it's better than having it be sensitive. Unless, of course, we're talking about one of your front teeth--then I have no idea. Your pharmacist will know what I'm talking about--I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head.

Usually they do a root canal before they cap a tooth. If they did that on yours, you shouldn't have any feeling in it. Maybe it's just a temporary thing.

Yes, they do usually do a root canal before capping. SouthNZone, if you are feeling hot/cold sensitivity, you need to get to a dentist as soon as you can! If the nerve is exposed (which is likely what may be causing the sensitivity), the longer you go without getting it taken care of properly, the more bacteria will build up and will just make matters worse.

If you were going to be here sooner than you are, I'd throw out my usual plug for Dr. David Terlizzi, the best dentist EVER.

I looked up two dentists over here near me and they are saying that they are totally booked...

CQ - I am going to head to the store today and see about the stuff put that tooth back on.

I guess that I am thinking of a partial cap (perhaps???)

Four. That is the number of months until NHS quoted me before my tooth can be fixed!!!

I called my dentist and they suggested a few things I could use to put it back in until I get home in October, but I cannot believe it.


I also called an emergency number for a possible quick entry dentist appointment, and no luck. They were supposed to call back within an hour, that was two hours ago...

My tooth is killing me. I didn't eat today at all. My friend Jack, Jack Daniels is kicking it with me tonight though.......

Wow, that really sucks! If I were you, I'd be calling that emergency number every hour, on the hour. Don't just wait for them to call you! There is just no reason that you should have to be in that much pain!
