LA Fitness

Has anyone been in there? Boy, it's nice.

Just got my membership and have spent 6 hours in there in 2 days. I go to the one by 81st and Union Hills, next to Wal-Mart. Just opened too, so the equipment is great.

I hope that new one opening up takes away from the traffic at the 51sst and Union Hills one.

That one has gotten really busy.

Lurking in the showers is not recommended!

This one seems to be busy for just having the grand opening today. So my guess would be that it has started to take on some of those members.

I drove by the one near me the other day - how much is the membership? Is it a one time payment or monthly?

The deal my family got was $50 to start up (For first two people. $25 for third and $0 for fourth) and then $24.95 a month. Regularly it's like $100 to start up then $34.95 a month.

If anyone here's intrested in getting the deal I got go to the LA Fitness at 83rd and Union Hills and talk to Adam. Say Phill refered you there. He'll hook you up.

LA Fitness is a scam... My wife and I joined and signed a year contract. After the year was up we went in and cancelled. I sat through an hour of pitches trying to get us to stay. ...but we moved so it wasn't a good location anymore.

So like 5 months later we get a collection notice in the mail saying we owed a year of dues

I love LA Fitness. I've had a membership with them since I was in 8th grade. And I'm still paying that I paid back then which I think is cool.

I should really go more. But it's hard when you're 3000 miles away!

They do have a cool option where you can "freeze" your account and then unfreeze it after a couple months. I do that when I am away. It still costs me 10 bucks a month, but I figure it's worth it. Especially since I'm almost done with college and would not want to pay all the start up fees all over again.

I would claim sexual discrimination since I am a male lesbian and am denied access to their facility!

I got

a membership there and love it. Six hoops, a bunch of raquet ball/hand ball courts, tons of cardio equipment, cycling classes. I'll try to remember to take my camera Vince and get you some pics.
