I chipped a tooth/teeth

Eating a sucker, minding my own business, and then WHAM! I think I have a piece of the sucker lodged inbetween my gums and teeth--right under the tip of my tongue behind my two front teeth.

So, I'm trying to work it out with my tongue to no avail. I'm at work, so I look around for something I can use to try to pick it out. I grab a straw and start working it.

Pop. It comes out. But my mouth still feels funny. So, I look at it. It's a peice of my tooth.

Nice. Merry F'n christmas.

Remember when you were a kid and lost a tooth--the taste of blood and raw gum in your mouth?

I can taste that right now.

You just lost 10 points in the hotness scale.

BTW, hope you can fix that, lol!

wow. Is it painful? If you need emergency dental work this time of year it's gonna cost you plenty.

Ugh. I can sympathize. Last month I was eating something crunchy and a piece of my molar chipped off...leaving the old filling exposed.

I ended up having to have a root canal and a crown put in. So now I'm out $968...right before Christmas.

I'm not down to the nerve, appearently (this is my own assesment versus that of a professional). It doesn't hurt too bad. I'm going to wait until I can schedule a regular appointment...probably after the first of the year.
