I started swimming yesterday and I will tell you I need a lot of help. After doing two laps I had to stop for about 20 seconds. I have not done any sort of swimming in years and it definitely showed. I had to switch to the breast stroke because I was wiped out. I am going to have to concentrate on this part of the triathlon the most or else I am going to embarrass myself.
Any swimmers out there have any advice for me on how to get better?

Worked out for about two hours this morning. I spent half an hour strengthening my legs. Worked upper body another 40 minutes. Biked for about 30 minutes and then I ran for 20 minutes until my knee started to feel tight.
I think the extra weight lifting on my legs is helping my running. I haven't ran 20 minutes without any pain in years. I have two months before the mini-triathlon, so I am getting encouraged with my knee.
