Thigh master would kill me. Can't even think about it without cringing. I have an exercise bike--I could probably do that. It's just really weird--looks pretty much like this:

I guess it's called a "recumbant" bike. Anyway, we just recently got that from my brother-in-law (probably never used). It's just a matter of committing. Running is out of the question, even walking is bad due to really bad hips.
I have a Pilates dvd--it scares me. My 13 yr old said it kicked her butt. She has no fat to lose (could stand to gain some muscle, though). Anyway, thanks for the advice everyone--I'm gonna figure something out and I'll let y'all know how it goes!

5 mile bike ride last night - up and downhill, not too intense except the last 1/4 mile to max out heart rate.
Also - tapering off alchohol consumption - beer to be exact - the main reason I'm 10 lbs overweight and flabby.

Yeah... I don't know about those read outs on them machines. was averaging 92-95 rpm's with a load of 3 and 4. Every once in a while I bump the load up to 5 and 6.

I suppose it is good to exercise your ego too!

Ran: 1 mile (7:25...That's a really fast mile, for me. Normally I have a really hard time with anything over two laps--I'm a sprinter and even when I was in tip-top shape playing lacrosse in college I always had trouble with the mile).

Went swimming at a friends house with the kiddos for nearly an hour. My friends' kids are a blast, but quite a bit heavier than my little feathers. I did A LOT of lifting and tossing kids around the pool. WHEW! Fun, but exhausting!!!!

Did the guns major yesterday. Some shoulder and back workouts also. I also worked out with a 10lb medicine ball for the first time ever. Just doing twisting raises and side bends with that thing is a major workout!

Well, I did it, folks. Got my butt up early today and started. Rode a solid 15 min on my exercise bike. Not particularly fast, but nonetheless, it felt good to be doing it! Ate a healthy breakfast and went to work. I'm going to try a *little* bit of walking this evening. Yay, me!
