Body-for-Life

Well, it's official, we're starting Body-for-Life on Monday!!! I bought the Body-for-Life for Women book today and plan to read it cover to cover before the weekend is done.

So August 1, 2005 will be a new beginning for our household!

Well, now I don't know if the world is round, if water is wet or if the sun is gonna come up tomorrow.

You just blew my faith in everything and all that I hold near and dear.

I guess my sig now applies to you too.

My wife and I will finish our 3rd week of BFL tomorrow. So far, so good. We start our week on Sunday, so our "cheat" day lands on Saturday, which works a lot better for us.
The eating component has been a piece of cake, and we've found great, easy recipes on the BFL website.
Waking up at 5 to hit the gym everyday is a bit tougher, but getting easier every day.

I checked the book out at the library and have renewed once already...so I think I win in the "frugal" department!

Having our "cheat" day on Sunday should work well for us. That way, we can feel free to go out to lunch after church, etc.

Now, I'm not done reading the book yet, but is your "cheat" day supposed to ALWAYS be the same day of the week? I mean, life happens. Does it throw off the whole system if say next weekend, we were having a party on Saturday, so we made that our "cheat" day, then stuck with the BfL plan on Sunday?

Not at all! Bill Phillips goes over that exact scenerio in the book, and you are allowed to move it around. Like you said, life happens. We might plan to go to a Happy Hour on a friday and know we are going to have drinks and a plate full of nachos. Its OK we just pick back up the next day.

That's exactly how it works. We just can't use up all of our cheat days the first two weeks.

I just hope I can get this stupid kidney stone thing resolved so I can give the workouts 100%. As it is now, if I over-exert, um, well, let's just say it's not good.
