Anyone ever whitened their teeth before?

Either professionally done or with Crest white strips?

I hear it's bad for your enamel.

Were you happy with the results?

Yes Kate, I have. I was actually quite satisfied with the results! It was professionally done, so I have no idea if the crest strips thingys work or not.

It is pricey - about $600 or more. Someone told me about this website where you can order all the stuff the professionals use at a fraction of the price.

http://www.dentist.net/toothwhitening.asp

A lot of people have said you can get the molds made by your dentist and just order the whitening gel yourself. Basically that's how the pros do it.

I don't know if this helps, but if your teeth are too white, coffee and wine can bring the white back to a normal shade! Might keep this in mind if you don;t like the results of the whitening procedure! Also, I am the only guy I know that noticed how perfect a server's teeh were in Hooter's. My friends teased me saying they didn't notice she had teeth. What can I say? 99 out of 100 guys don't notice teeth. Hope that helps with the tooth whitening decision, too!

lol thanks.

I never really noticed/cared about my teeth, but lately it just kind of bugged me - they arent as white as I'd hope them to be.

But apparently your skin tone (fair skin) and hair color (blonde) can affect your teeth's tone. Blonde's (real blonde's) tend to not have really white teeth. I

At least I think so, someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I might look into the crest white strips. I dunno, I'm just in a hyper-critical mood lately. It's fun to pick out the flaws!
