We had already qualified for the final round of qualifying in Concacaf (North America and Carribean) before this game, and this one even gave us another point. Actually, I kind of wanted Jamaica to win, so they could make the final qualifying round too. Now Panama goes instead, I think.
Nah, I hate to lose

We didn't qualify for the Cup yet...we have to get through the final round of qualifying first, but we should be able to manage it no-sweat. SHOULD.
As of now, only Germany has qualified, as the hosts currently don't have to go through qualification. That's how we made the 1994 Cup, played here in the states.
It looks like the final qualifying round for Concacaf (our zone) is going to be us, Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Guatemala. The top 3 teams will go, and the 4th place team will have a playoff with an Asian team for a fourth spot. Mexico and Costa Rica will be our only real competition, meaning we SHOULD easily qualify, but you never know.

The World Cup Finals will be held in Germany from June 9, 2006 to July 9, 2006. The opening match will be in Munich and the final will be in Berlin. The two semi-finals will be in Munich and Dortmund.

Anybody know a good site to find out what team someone is playing on overseas? While in Cabo I ran into a guy I went to junior high and highschool with named Chris Sullivan. Amazingly at 39 he's still playing, was on the US World cup team, Olympics, Earthquakes, Clash, played overseas for years. his website is www.purofutbol.com but I'm not sure what league and where he's playing.
I wasn't sure it was him until I got home so I didn't talk to him(we were in the same hotel). Seems like his site isn't current so I can't tell for sure who he plays for now.

Looks like he played for El Farolito on the San Francisco Soccer Football League. WWW.sfsfl.com in the premiere division in 2003.
There's a message board there. Might help.

Sorry I got that far too but their season shows 30 "unaccounted for" goals so I don't know if he's playing for them this year or not. I know he's doing private coaching so he may have retired but doesn't appear that way from his site. If I'd realized right away who he was I could have asked him in Cabo but to be honest I said "he's too young to be Sully he's my age". I guess if I were playing soccer at that level for that long I might look a bit younger myself.
