UFC didn't buy anything. The Fertita Brothers, who own and operate Zuffa LLC, parent company of the UFC, bought Pride.

I know, it sounds nitpicky, but if George Steinbrenner bought the New Jersey Nets, it wouldn't be "The New York Yankees buy the New Jersey Nets".
