Tiger Woods misses cut for first time in seven years on PGA Tour
Tiger Woods finally has a weekend off, missing the cut Friday at the Byron Nelson Championship to end his record of 142 consecutive cuts made over the last seven years.
Woods had a 15-foot par putt on the 18th hole. The putt hung on the right lip and stayed there, giving him a 2-over par 72 and leaving him at 1-over for the tournament.
The last time he failed to make the cut was the 1998 Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, where Woods withdrew instead of returning nearly seven months later to complete the rain-delayed tournament.
The only other time he missed the cut was the 1997 Canadian Open.
