Well, I like the result, but damn, what a price to pay. I mean, love him or hate him, to end with an injury like that is no way to go out for a player of Shearer's caliber.

One final kick in the balls for the Sunderland supporters. Thankfully, the nightmare that is the 2005-2006 season will mercifully soon be over.
That was a huge blow to the balls too, might I add. I was working at a pub during this game in Durham and it was a mess. Half the crowd was crying and the other half laughing and drinking... The only difference was that the Sunderland fans kept drinking heavily into the night....
4 to 1. Wow....

there are one or two buts it all about keeping your head down this week!
shame about Mary Poppins (Alan Sh***er) playing his last game - i think it means he will miss his testimonial too
I hope that was in jest...I wouldn't want to think you're happy about any player injury.

Now that the season's over, thank goodness, what's next? Will players like Liam Lawrence and Dean Whitehead be staying? What about Elliott and Arca? I assume that Le Tallec and Bassilla are certainly gone. Will Justin Hoyte be going back to Arsenal? Burnley can keep Andy Gray.
I hope that Niall Quinn's group will replace Murray, but even if they do will that improve the financial situation at all? Will the new owners be able to spend the money it will take to compete in the EPL, when and if the club makes it back up?
i hope whitehead stays - Elliott should stay and LL should do to (LL being a good champ player but not prem lge)
three of Irelands richest are behind Quinns bid so it would seem that if they do get in at the Stadium of Light then there could be a few quid to spend for the next manager!
who that will be i dont know?? Martin O'Niell would be nice!

Wow, it's good to have dreams, I guess. It would be awesome for you, but it's like that old Japanese guru...what was his name? Oh yeah. Naganahapan.
