Barca lead Celtic 1-0 thanks to a Xavi goal. They now lead 4-2 on aggregate.

Real Madrid 1-2 Roma

Roma advance 4-2 on aggregate. I like Roma, but I'm happier that RM are out. I can't stand that club.

Wow, I didn't know that ESPN actually broadcast the games in HD. I will definitely DVR ESPN's games as opposed to Setanta's from here on out.

And I'm getting really sick of the English clubs winning all the time. I just want some parity. I'll be enthusiastically rooting against Liverpool next week.

The Toon helped themselves vastly with a draw, and my bro Owen hooked up a goal. Excellent!

I was in a tough spot with taht game....I am a Juve fan so I tend to root for italian teams since we are still a year away form Champions, but just couldn't bring myself to root for inter. So I just sat there watching the game not caring who won. Just wait till next year, JUVE + $200mil to spend on bringing in players = Champions League run. But for the rest of the CL I will be pulling for Roma, really don't want to see Liverpool, Manchester or Chelsea win it....I wouldn't have much of a probelm with Arsenal.

I think it was a good result for us too tbh - only 2 points going out to the bottom 6 rather than 3.

i really think you guys will be fine with Fulham, Reading and us to play at home still.

I think we might be in the mire a bit though - massive homes game in the next 3 weeks against Man City and West Ham plus an away trip to Fulham who looked canny on Sat against Everton

Good job for both clubs. I don't know about the Sunderland game, but it's really nice that my Magpies finally came out and clearly played as the better side. What a sweet, sweet win this one is, and Viduka and Keegs made up, and Owen got on the board. I only wish Martins had netted one on that excellent strike.

Bummer about Fulham, though. I didn't want them to have to lose because I don't want them to go down. Had to be done, though.

i went to your game on Sat and have to say they were two poor teams (make no mistake Sunderland are no better) but you did look to have a lot more than fulham.

my mates were happy at fulltime and i must have spent about £20 WApping my phone to get the lads score all day. good day all round for the northe east clubs in the end.

its keeping it going is the hard part now!
