Official Bundesliga Thread

Probably the least posted thread since it appears nobody really cares about it.

Bundesliga Team: FC Bayern

Bayern Munich's first game in the Bundesliga is tomorrow morning at 11:30am PST against Hamburg. No Toni, but they're still strong enough that Pudolski should pick up the slack.

EDIT: Oh, it's on GOL if anyone is interested.

I realize its only friendlies but Donovan has scored 4 goals in 5 games for Bayern Munich. There is no doubt in my mind that MLS will get a hefty transfer offer before his loan is over.

A lot of that will depend on what kind of offers they can get for Podolski--he definitely wants out of Bayern. Of course, it probably wouldn't be surprising if Bayern kept him through the rest of his contract this year, but Klinsmann would probably bury him on the bench and he'd never see playing time--ESPECIALLY if Landon signs with them.

Such a strange Bundesliga season... what with Wolfsburg and freaking Hoffenheim doing so well.

And if they keep Ribery and Luca Toni, that team is going to be hard to beat next season.

Podolski will be back at Cologne next season. Miroslav Klose is still there.

Nope Luca Toni is quickly declining, he has been missing sitters every game this season.
He will sit on the bench behind Gomez and Klose if he stays so I can't see him staying.

The other hot rumors around Bayern right now are:

Goalkeeper:
Buffon, Neuer or Adler

Leftback or Rightback:
Dario Srna, Yuri Zhirkov, Aly Cissokho, Urby Emanuelson, Rafinha

Midfield:
Wesley Sneijder, Yoann Gourcuff, Aliaksandre Hleb

Forwards:
Eljero Elia, Patrick Helmes

Hleb can definitely be had for pretty cheap I'd imagine. I don't think Barca would mind getting rid of him.

As for Buffon, Juve fans would probably be pretty upset if that happened. I know a couple Italian Juve fans that would jump off a bridge.
