Northern Ireland defeats England...
Wow, this was a horrible match or a great match depending upon whom you support. Of course the pub I was in wasn't so excited.
I cannot believe that Rooney just got another yellow card! Now he cannot play in the next game???

Incredible! My British friend just responded to a message I sent him on football (bragging about Owen--he's a Bolton fan--and bragging about the US), and he went OFF on Sven...wants him sacked.
In a sad note, Ireland's chances of qualifying took a drastic blow with the loss to France. Ugh.

Yeah everyone wants Sven fired that I know here. Pretty sad.
Owen didn't look that good (my personal thought)...

I don't know...I read that Rooney was played grossly out of position on the wing, forcing him to track back in defense rather than move forward on attack, and that the midfield couldn't get Owen the ball. And that Sven did f-all to help with subs and tactics.

No one seems to be in to football right now here with the Ashes on.
I read in Zoo that Rooney was played wrong too, although during the game I heard/noticed nothing....
