Italian Soccer

I got to see an Italian soccer game in Italy this Christmas. I am hooked, it was great. It is called calcio by the Italians. Does Cox Cable show the Italian games? Do I really have to pay extra? Isn't it enough to admit I actually enjoyed watching soccer?

Foxsportsworld is the shiznit. Unfortunately, as a fan of the Barclaycard English Premier League, the DirecTV offering isn't. You have to pay like 300 bucks, which I gladly forked over, but then it turned out I got 1-2 extra games a week. I called up and was, like, NO WAY, I'm not paying for this, but since the season had started, I couldn't get out of it. How pissed was I?

I got to go to Rome v. Parma. Rome won 5-2. Some guy named Totti set a record. I could not believe the crowd! No one moved from their seats the whole game. What a great game. I thought for sure I would see a 1-0 game. I am sold. Seemed like we were the only english speakers around, but since we cheered for Rome, people around us loved us.

I'm a big Barca fan, but FOX Sports World doesn't show La Liga games, which sucks! I really like the Premier League though, so I watch as many of their games as I can. Sometimes I'll watch Eredivisie or Ligue 1 matches, but the quality of play isn't as good as the Premiership.

Hopefully, Sunderland will be back in the Premiership next season, so I can see their games.

great win today v Crystal palace in the cup - cold though and 90mph winds

as for Italian football - its ace we get a couple of live games every week here in England

my bro who was living in Zurich at the time went to see Milan derby in san siro 2 years ago and said it was just amazing (not quite Sunderland v Newcastle at the Stadium of Light though )
