As for the standard of the leagues. I would have it like this -

1 - Premier league
2 - La Liga
3 - Serie A
4 - Bundesliga

You could have amde an argument a couple of years ago when AC and Juve were in trouble, but add those two teams back (as they are now) and there is just more overall talent in the league. It closer than 10 years ago, but Germany still has a way to go yet.
I think the difference between the 4 top tier leagues is much, much smaller than the difference between these 4 and the 2nd-tier leagues. We're really talking semantics here.

Also keep in mind that the best team in the world is in La Liga.

Who do you mean? Barca? Not sure i'd agree there.

The best team in the world is in English League One, they wear all white (Real Madrid copied them), play at Elland Road and have the best supporters in the World.

Huh? Are you serious? It must be a fan thing--there is no doubt that Barca is the best team in the world right now.

Starting to get pumped for this week. Really hoping that Juve can pull off a 1-1 draw or at worst at 2-1 loss...we really need that away goal. If it goes back to Turin with an away goal down 1 or tied its over.

Man U/Inter - Live on ESPN2 (Tuesday)
Barca/Lyon - Delayed on ESPN Classic

Juve/Chelsea - Live on ESPN2 (Wednesday)
Pool/Madrid - Delayed on ESPN Classic

FORZA JUVE!!!

Well, Del Piero, Amauri and Camoranesi should be well rested, and Buffon is playing lights out right now, so I'm not too worried about Chelsea (who is a bit overrated IMO).

Looking forward to Barca/Lyon. Worried about Arsenal/Roma, and don't think Bayern will have much trouble with Sporting.

Games of the week will definitely be Juve/Chelsea, Real Madrid/Liverpool and Inter/Man U. I only like one of those teams (Juve), but the games should be great.

I will be outnumbered 8:1 at my house watching the Juve/Chelsea game on Wednesday. All of my friends are Chelsea fans and I have been getting texts nonstop for the past week about the game. While Chelsea hasn't played up to their potential at all, they are still a scary team with their depth and talent. I would love a draw...and a win would just be amazing.

i tend to back the English sides to get to the final if i'm honest....unless its Liverpool for some reason i just cant stand them.

Having said that i dont know any Chelsea fans, your really are either Sunderland or Newcastle up here...not of this glory hunting crap. So for this round at least is Forza Juve.

Go Juve. I usually only like Chelski when they play a team I don't like.

Big game for Barça. Their form has dipped somewhat the past few games and they will be without Abidal and Keita.

Fortunately, they have the luxury of replacing them with players like Silvinho and Hleb.

It's possible Milito might actually make a highly-anticipated appearance. Missing Abidal and Keita will hurt, but I think not having Andres Iniesta will hurt even more. Hopefully Busquets will be able to pick up the slack. (I'm not a huge fan of Hleb)

Busquets is going to start for Keita and Puyol is taking Abidal's place. Personally, I'd rather see Puyol in central defense in place of Pique and Silvinho at left back.

Lyon and Atletico get early goals to take leads in their games over Barca and Porto respectively.

Inter is really playing their game against Man U, just hasn't had any real good shots on goal yet.
