Now we'll have to hear Tiger's excuses (or those that others will make for him) throughout the tournament. He has always sucked on tight courses, which is why it is difficult to call hiim the greatest of all time. He is even missing simple puts now as well. Easy birdie on 14 not even even close.

Tiger did birdie 15 to get it to +6. I am a Tiger fan, but he is a little like the Suns. When you expect him to do well, he blows.

Tough call for the USGA here. If Tiger misses the cut, viewership takes a huge cut. He currently sits tied for 99th and must move up another two strokes most likely to make the cut. With two holes to go.

Tiger needs an eagle on the 9th hole (started on the 10th) to have a shot at making the cut (will be at least +9 as i understand
he bogeyed the 8th

That has to be the second biggest choke in any of the four majors. The first belongs to Jean Vandervelde for his choke at the British Open. Why did he go with a driver and why did he not lay up on his second shot? He just played dumb golf down the stretch. I wonder why his caddie Bones did not take the driver out of his hands, especially after his shot on the 17th hole?

What the hell was Phil thinking? I know he's supposed to be this maverick golfer who takes chances but there's a time and place for everything.
