That trade machine is misleading. L.A. will get over $20 million in cap relief by not re-signing Mihm and McKie and getting Brian Grant's $15.5 million off the books. Luke Walton is their only FA they need to re-sign.
The Lakers can use their $5 million mid-level exception to sign PG Mo Williams or another FA like Morris Peterson or Jamaal Magloire. Under that scenario, they could upgrade the roster without trading Bynum and/or Kwame for a superstar like KG.
I'd love to see Kobe and KG in the same lineup, though.

Here are the Suns fans after Game 1:
"It's only one game"
"Everyone knew we weren't going to sweep the Spurs"
"As long as we keep playing our game, we'll be fine"
"Next time we'll have Nash in the game at the end and the outcome will be different"

and here's Laker fans after the Suns game:
"we got our asses kicked and now all we can do is live vicariously through the (gulp) spurs."
now go and run and get that empty trophy case. While you're at it, get a cassio to slap on your wrist because if you're gonna live in the past, you could at least dress the freaking part.
weak sauce Renz.

Actually, THIS Suns fan is saying...CRAP! I really felt we needed to win the first game against the Spurs, because I said it before, and I'll say it again: The Spurs scare me.
Just because the Lakers fans like to live in fantasy land, doesn't mean all of us do.

Heh heh. I don't really care who wins. I usually root against PHX so I won't be harrassed by all the Suns fans at work etc.
