I'm glad that you guys didn't feel like he was going to work out in Arizona. The guy is a true diamond in the rough. I've seen Jake do things this year that have reminded me of things I'd see from Elway and Montana back in the day. The guy has got the heart of a Champion.
Makes me wonder what might have been if you guys would have held onto him and Boston, and then drafted Anquon... That dude is a serious stud.
Not certain what is going on in Card land... but something must be going right at the QB position, because you've got a receiver in the pro bowl...
In any event, we took some shots from some of you guys for getting Jake, saying that we were in for a rude awakening... We were in for an awakening alright...

1) Plummer can't read more than half the field, at least until he, "Cuts down on his mistakes and makes better decisions."
2) Plummer cannot beat the blitz, or any other situation that involves him being in a position to, "Cut down on his mistakes and make better decisions."
If I could only talk to Kubiak, I'd save him some headaches with some friendly advice...
1) His little girly hands are good for about 10 TO's per year, probably more in the balmy Denver weather. It's alright though. Fumbling the snap from center will disappear just as soon as he, "Cuts down on his mistakes and makes better decisions."
2) The first time Shannon Sharpe is left jumping up and down, waiving his arms, and then sort of just holding them up with a confused look on his face, I'd just tell him, "Don't worry. He'll cut down on his mistakes and make better decisions."
3) When ten yard outs become a scoring opportunity for either team, I'd tell him, "Well no crap, he's got one of the weakest arms in the league."

I agree.
Yeah, Jake worked out in Denver, he didn't work out AZ. Good for you Bronco fans. Do you really think if Jake stayed in AZ he would be doing what he is doing in Denver? It's not just about ability in the NFl ... obviously there are a lot of other factors that come into play -- coaching, supporting cast, feeling good about where you are.
Jake fits in Denver. Congrats.

I said it last week, it has to be cardinal luck. Anybody who watched Jake for 6 years here knew before that pick that he was going to throw one, he was clearly confused, the prior play the false start was basically the result of Jake stepping out to change something and confusing his OL. Then he has to call the TO, and then he throws the pick. The same guy who made all those mistakes here, is the Denver QB he's just got a coach who knows when to take the ball away from him and calm him down.
Last week Lelie breaks up a pick that saves Jake's bacon, last night Doss drops a pick(that he would have scored on) that saves his bacon. As a card the defense always made those plays, as a Bronco he's living right I guess.
More power to him and congrats on the playoff berth that was really impressive win on the road like that without Portis.
I'm actually starting to enjoy watching Plummer for the Broncos. I was a huge critic of his while he was here, but that was just because here, HE SUCKED! But good for him.
Jake has a very good supporting cast in denver. The running game is a strengh.
The Colts shut that down today and the results? 2 picks and a fumble.
And that long pass to Lelie? Lelie had his man beat bad. But in classic form Jake threw the lame duck too short pass that we have grown to know and hate for the pick.
The fact that denver kept with the run with the score 38-3 tells me all I need to know about Jake. Or at least what shanahan knows.
