Playoffs or Draft Position

Once again the while the rest of the NFL teams try to vie for a playoff spot the Cardinals are playing for Draft Position and it seems that the "Faithful Few" are in compliance as they are lamenting another wasted season...

From the Cardinals board:

Memo to Cards fan: The wheels fell off your bandwagon sometime in the 40's and you've just been dragging it through the dirt ever since.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Could it be that the Pack will be the only team in 2003 that can boast that they were defeated by the Lions and the Cardinals?!?

Ryan -

Shawn may be a Packers fan, but at least he's made an appearance at one of our halftime gatherings!

I guess it depends on whether you expect the Bears to beat the Cardinals.

The Bears already lost to the Lions.

Two words: sour grapes

Yeah, sure the wheels on our bandwagon fell of in the fourties, but the wheels on your bandwagon (heck you don't even live in Green Bay, so I don't think "your" is appropriate) are about to fall off once Brett Favre retires.

Not sour grapes at all - I've been bagging on the Cardinals (more importantly the Dumbwells) for many years.

I've been a solid supporter since '75 of the Packers so I don't think "bandwagon" implies to me.

When Favre hangs it up finally the Packers will probably take a definite step back, but with FA and parity in the world of football now - they won't be down for long. It's not like Favre is the only great QB to play in the past or the present and he's not going to be the last.
