Moving on just for the sake of moving on isn't legit......
If what you have is not working, yes, it is.
If you think the Cardinals would have been better off this year with Plummer instead of Blake, fine, your opinion.
Personally, I like the change to Jeff Blake. I don't really care if you don't.
It is like a time warp when I read the opinions and excuses about Plummer. He just needs to cut down on mistakes, He needs to get his timing with his new teammates, He is still learning the system, etc, etc, etc.
It is like a broken record to my ears played over and over again for 6 years.
He has some superstar miracle finish one week and the second play of the next game he makes a rookie mistake and forces a throw into coverage and it is returned for a touchdown.
Believe me, I like Jake Plummer but he was about the same when he left as he was when he got here. You would think there would be some improvement in 6 years. Sure you would probably say the coaching is to blame. It has been tried, different coordinators, QB coaches, skill players. It wasn't working.
Plummer's pattern of inconsistancy and turnovers goes back to college. As a UofA fan I could always count on Plummer to throw a pick or two.
Maybe Shanahan can make it work with Plummer. Maybe the Broncos are just what he needs and vice versa. If you believe that you should be thanking the Cardinals for letting him go.
I just responded to the stupid title of this thread. Of course the Cardianls losing records were not all Plummer's fault, but he is not without blame either.

Moving on just for the sake of moving on isn't legit if there is no plan to move on to.
It's no fault of your own, except for the fact that you support and commit yourself to a franchise that doesn't give you that same level of support and committment.
Like the commitment it takes to be 45-43 and not winning a playoff game for the past 4 years? Look dude, Im a Bronco fan second, so don't get me wrong. Id KILL for the Cards be in the Broncs shoes.
But if theres a team in the NFL over the course of the last 4 years that hasnt come CLOSE to living up to its potential, Its the Broncos.
I hope 26 continues to shine, casue you aint getting to the prmised land on Plummers rag tag arm, and you DEFINITELY aint getting there on his smarts.
Shanahan has god like status in Denver. But whens the last time he brought in a successsful FA? Thats not me bagging on him. I honestly don't know. But I cant point to a number fo pretty bad choices on his part.

I think the change is just fine. Helped us out, that's for sure...
But as for you guys?
A friend of mine has a baby. Like all babies do, it messed in his diapers. My friend didn't change the babies shirt, and then say, "I like the change."
It does no good for Cardinal fans to rail on the owner. Sure we can criticize moves and decisions but there is nothing we can do about who owns the team. Even if I could raise several hundered million dollars he is not going to sell the team.
The Bidwills are not going anywhere. When Billy Bidwill does move on to retirement or whatever Michael will be running the show (if he doesn't already).
We have to face the fact that we are stuck with the current ownership.
There have been signs of changes (as there have been before) but they have to continue and translate to wins.
I have been upset with many things this franchise has done and not done over the years but letting go of Plummer is not one of them.

WOW John, You may have discovered the HOLY GRAIL of all football indicators!!!!!!
Yea, those players must have been thinking about the SALARY CAP when they turned the ball over 6 times on Sunday. Hey, maybe that was Jake's problem with interceptions, he was too worried about the salary cap to worry about reading defenses.
Originally posted by Taco John That's all Elway was in his waning days. That's all we need in this offense... A quarterback who can take advantage of what the offensive line and running game provide them, and on occasion make plays with his feet when needed.
Jake has still got a long way to go in this offense... We're still beating the Arizona out of him. But he'll do alright.
Man am I looking forward to Monday night! I always liked Jake but still see too much of what I saw for 6 years continuing in Denver.
It's funny that this tool (Taco) still comes to this site.
Wow, someone needs to get a life
I'd trade Plummer for Blake anyday, and by the end of the year, Broncos fans everywhere will agree.

ASU? Less then 25. Mike Williams belongs nowhere near an NCAA starting RB gig. Whereas he's potentially the worst starting RB in Pac 10 history, he's almost certainly the worst starting RB in ASU history, which of course isn't saying too much.
The Cardinals? 81 yards (15 more than the Pack with Ahman Green). Enough to put together the difference making 11 play drive and 13 play drive in the second half. 21 carries in the last 30 minutes.

As an avid ASU fan, I have been telling everyone who would listen that ASU was not even close to the 16th best team in the nation. That Iowa loss, is exactly what I expected, and by the end of the year, there will be fans calling for Koetter's head.
The running game sucks real bad, and Koetter's play calling can be atrocious at times. I love it when he decides to go deep on 3rd and short .
