G. Brown is going to practice on Wednesday!!! He said that he will not under go surgery on the tear, but that he wants to do physical therapy and attempt to play through it. The doctors have apparently cleared him to do so - but they cautioned that they will be keeping a very close eye on him.

I can't believe he's going to do that - but I think the team really needs him. Unfortunately it may hurt the team more than it helps it - I hope I'm wrong and that he does well.

If Gilbert could get healed by the playoffs, I'd keep him on the roster all season even if it meant we were short a player during the season. I think it's kind of expecting a lot for him to play with that torn biceps during the season, but I've read the same reports you did on how they are considering it.

If it's true and he does attempt to play in spots with it - dude is going to be living on painkillers - I can't imagine him playing any other way. That's got to feel way below average and you know offensive players are going to be using that knowledge to their advantage - pinching him, grabbing him, etc.

I just can't imagine him doing it.

I can't imagine him playing that way either. Gotta give the Grave Digger credit for trying though. It would be easy to sit on the couch and collect a paycheck. He apologized to Sherman after he got hurt. Loyalty like that's hard to find today. If he does play that way, I hope he doesn't damage his arm further. I'd be afraid my arm would get ripped off playing that way.

I wonder if the Cardinals are interested in one of the players from the Packers or Browns? They had a scout at the game. I read the quote below in a Packer article:

Rodd Newhouse, a pro scout for the Arizona Cardinals, saw the positive-negative tint of the Packers' performance.

"Green Bay's offense, that did look good. Their run game was definitely clicking. There's not too much concern on offense. But that defense is a little sketchy."

I really have no idea how this will all play out.

If it was up to me, I would almost dump Pederson, and keep Nall and Akili. I can't see anyone else signing the 35 year old Pederson if he was cut, so the Packers could most likely resign him during the season if they needed him due to an injury.

I heard a rumor last winter how "Big Cat" might become a Packer because we weren't sure if our tackles would return from their injuries. It never happened, and I really haven't heard much about him since. I think you'll miss the Big Cat of old, but I don't think you'll miss the Old Big Cat. From what I read over winter, his play really dropped off last year.
Dump Pedersen? Hmmm. In theory I agree with that I suppose but that is tempting the football gods to strike down Brett. That would be a huge risk IMO.

Akili to the Cards? That might be who their scout was checking out. If the Cards want to try this, they will have to trade for him I think. If he hits the FA market, given his decent play, there may be a couple teams interested in him.

Big Cat had an OK year last year but I believe he was injured yet continued playing. Yeah, he is old but the Bears are relying on Wayne Gandy and Aaron Gibson right now. Not exactly what I call OT security.
