"for some kid" : Nash's post game talk
check out the post game interview on suns.com - the link with Nash's picture on it.
Asked about Raja's shot, he said twice that Raja called it, that he said he was going to make it if he got the ball.
The best part is Nash's commesnt after that
"FOR JUST SOME KID, HE'S A PRETTY GOOD PLAYER"
Real nice shot at the 'elbower'.
Is someone is still asking "Who's dat kid? I don't know this kid."
This is just after the 34:00 mark in the video clip on the site.

Who is the man that would risk his neck
For his brother man?
SHAFT!
Can you dig it?
Who's the cat that won't cop out
When there's danger all about?
SHAFT!
Right On!
They say this cat Shaft is a bad mother
SHUT YOUR MOUTH!
I'm talkin' 'bout Shaft.
THEN WE CAN DIG IT!
He's a complicated man
But no one understands him but his woman
JOHN SHAFT!

I would think that Nash has gotten over the first round. It appears not.
I think the guy I defend hurt some feelings pretty bad. Jeez.

Hurt some feelings? Please, D-Dogg, get over yourself. It was pretty clear that Nash was joking about a really stupid thing for someone to say, no matter who it is.

Would have made sense in the context of the series where that comment was made. Just like Raja's comment made sense when he said the Suns now have bigger fish to fry after ousting the Lakers. It was a well-timed and placed zing.
To continue with it into the second round, with a 3-2 lead looking to go to the WCF...that smacks of some bitterness. Pass it off as a joke, but why is he still bringing it up?
If the tables were turned, you'd say the same.

Kobe is gonna be on the TNT Inside the NBA tonight.
If only he had been on last night.
Still should be good to see what he says.

I've licked those wounds and am happily looking forward to the offseason and getting a PG and PF.
And am currently cheering for your guys to win.

Well, expect this Nash quote to be played and TNT to have Kobe say something about it.
I think Kobe will have some good bball things to say...will break some things down well I'm guessing.

Now that I agree with.

I sure hope so. My guess is that's what he wants to talk about, but the studio guys might inevitably bring up the other junk.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Suns are still joking about it on their own. They seem a pretty loose group. Maybe the other players have started calling Bell "Kid" or something like that.
D-Dogg, you're really reaching here. Bryant's dismissal of Bell is memorable, even if it didn't leave any bitterness. And with Bell's continued excellent play, it looks downright ridiculous. Bryant had his fun, and now the Suns are having theirs. With each additional game they win, Bryant looks more foolish all the time.

Here's how Kobe's TNT episode will go:
EJ: Kobe, you had some not so nice things to say to Barkley in your text message. Would please repeat them here so we can manipulate the ratings some more?
Kobe: That's in the past, let's talk basketball.
EJ: Sure. Do you think Charles Barkley is a big fat idiot?
Barkley: Wait, I'm not an idiot.
EJ: Don't get mad at the messenger, Charles, Kobe said it.
Kobe: Um, I haven't had a chance to say anything.
EJ: So you're denying it?
Kobe: There's nothing to deny. You're putting words in my mouth.
EJ: There you heard it, folks, right here on TNT. And now let's get back to lesser things, like the Mavs/Spurs game.

This is the classic case of someone not laughing with you, but laughing at you. Kobe, and his words, have turned into a big joke. The Suns are just laughing it up....I doubt Nash said this while spewing fire and venom....it was funny.

shouldn't that be "naively looking forward to the offseason and getting a PG and PF" D-Dogg? Seriously man - I'm wondering how you think the Lakers are gonna pull that off, wayyy above the salary cap, with an owner who has steadfastedly said he won't go anymore over the luxury tax and while keeping "the grand plan" in place to have salary cap room in 2008?
Who are you gonna get at PF and PG and how the hell are you gonna accomplsih that, especially with that asleep at the control Mitch Kupchak at holding the reigns?
