Disappointing news for Cards fans

It has been extremely well documented on this board over and over and over again how much Cards fans are rooting against Terrell Suggs - in spite of the fact that he genuinely wanted to become a Cardinal. All of this animosity for the ridiculous notion that it would somehow validate the decision not to take him.

The good old Germans have a word for this, it's called "Schadenfreude" you might want to look it up.

I really don't understand your unadulterated hatred for him (as your numerous posts have CLEARLY proven), but since you're genuinely hoping in your heart of hearts that this young man becomes a failure in his NFL career, this story will be of extreme disappointment to you:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/foo.../banks_ravens/

"Rookie linebacker Terrell Suggs already has people excited in Ravens camp. We haven't seen anything in a game situation yet, but Suggs has flashed his outstanding edge-rush skills on numerous occasions, racking up at least eight sacks or so in the span of a couple of recent practices. Suggs, Baltimore's first overall draft pick, will make an impact as a pass rusher this season in his new role as a 3-4 linebacker."

Suggs, who can't even make it to team meetings on time? Yeah, we sure are missing him

Oh yeah, we all hate him even though most of us wanted him!

Is this the best you can do?

That is NOT what schadenfreude means, genius, not even close. Your post was predictable, sad, pathetic and ridiculous all at the same time - congratulations.

The thing you have forgotten...or SI did...is that Suggs right now is running with 2nd team defense. He lost his starting job (temporarily likely) to Cornell Brown.

I NEVER wanted the cards to draft Suggs.

He's an Arizona boy so I'll always cheer for him but I hope he gets buried in the turf at SDS by James Hodgins when the Ravens come to town. Against everybody else, though, I hope he lights is up.

schadenfreude

If I remember right my english teacher said this word describes someone who gains pleasure out of someone's misfortune. Like if you see someone fall into a puddle on the street and laugh, that's "schadenfreude".

Then wouldn't that make Super Pickle a hypocrite?

He "attempts" to pleasure of insulting us and our team, and our team's misfortunes.

As a Cards fan I couldn't really care less about Suggs. He played for ASU and now he plays for Baltimore. I am not really interested in either of those teams.

I am just tired of hearing how the Cardinals "missed a chance" to draft Suggs or that somehow the Cardinals had a terrible draft because they did not select him.

Well since he is just another rookie we will have to wait and see. But the bottom line is we didn't want a linebacker in the first round, we needed d-line and WR.
