Why the hate for Hillary?

I just don't get it.

Quote:
Speaking during a Martin Luther King Jr. Day event, Clinton also offered an apology to a group of Hurricane Katrina survivors "on behalf of a government that left you behind, that turned its back on you." Her remarks were met with thunderous applause by a mostly black audience at the Canaan Baptist Church of Christ in Harlem.

The House "has been run like a plantation, and you know what I'm talking about," said Clinton, D-N.Y. "It has been run in a way so that nobody with a contrary view has had a chance to present legislation, to make an argument, to be heard."

"We have a culture of corruption, we have cronyism, we have incompetence," she said. "I predict to you that this administration will go down in history as one of the worst that has ever governed our country."

A spokeswoman for the White House declined to comment and referred questions to the Republican National Committee.

RNC spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt said: "On a day when Americans are focused on the legacy of Martin Luther King, Hillary Clinton is focused on the legacy of Hillary Clinton."
Somehow she gets blasted for making these statements, yet they are arguably accurate.

The glaring hypocrisy in this article lies in the quote by RNC spokesperson Tracey Schmidt.
Quote:
"On a day when Americans are focused on the legacy of Martin Luther King, Hillary Clinton is focused on the legacy of Hillary Clinton."
What in Hell did she think MLK and the Civil Rights movement was about? It wasn't about a day off from work and party time. It was about injustice and servitude and prejudice. How patronizing of Ms. Scmidt and the White House to make sure those remarks were portrayed as political jousting.

I purposely did not place this post in the related thread on the subject, hoping that the opposing viewpoint could get a different read and direction.

Because she was clearly grandstanding for political gain. Look, if anybody really believed she cared about the plight of poor african americans, I'd STILL have a hard time accepting her words. It's like me walking into a hip-hop club and yelling to a bunch of african-americans, 'I feel you, my brothers!'

I don't know how anyone can see Hillary's comments as anything but political jousting.

An amusing and totally accurate analogy!

Why do I despise Hillary? Because I believe her to be the most disingenuous politician alive.

I don't want to live in an America where I have to justify my hate for Hilary Clinton.

Amuzing???

First, your This thread isn't about Bush, there have been plenty of those...

Second, You can't have it both ways nidan. On one hand you like to portray Bush as a buffoon, on the other he's portrayed as calculating and deceptive. The two positions conflict; you would be better off choosing one and sticking with it.

Third, Hillary does nothing without calculating the her personal stake and gain.

I think people do not like Hillary Clinton, because she is annoying. She has a Rosie O'donnell personality, that just puts people off. There something about her people just do not like

I'm a dem and wouldn't vote for her in a primary. People like her, Howard Dean, Joe Lieberman, etc., are why I have problems with the leadership of the democratic party.

All they've tried to do recently is go after movies & video games for being too this or too that. They're obviously just posturing to make themselves look more conservative. They're fronting, and it's disgusting.

Stand up for what you believe in, and give the Republicans a fight. Don't just become GOP-lite. No one wants to vote for that, and it'll guarantee a loss in the 2008 election.

Not sure where I voiced support for Hillary ?

However you are correct, you were voicing an opinion, it's just hard for me to swallow that opimion when I see GW as ther most dishonest politician I have heard of [except possibly Nixon].

It's also hard to see folks complaining about politicla grandstanding by Hillary and ignore GW's grandstand or have you forgotton 'Mission Accomplished'

This seems to be the universal escape route from any argument......if you can't argue a point or are blinded you can always just pull the "well our President sucks", card.

It is old, not only are you beating a dead horse, you're beating the dead horse's children.

When the righties and the GOP stop resorting to the "But, Bill Clinton did it" excuse to explain their actions...
