Why is taxing the rich so bad?

They hide their money away, it doesn't trickle down. The Middle Class is never going to be rich.

Its foolish and naive to believe the tax cuts for the rich will better the lives of the middle class.

It is a fallacy, it is a trick. Middle Class Republicans are naive.

And Stephan, you are not a Middle Class Republican.

You are a non-citizen. Secondly if you were a citizen you would be lower class. Any lower class Republican has no brain and enjoys being tricked into believing economics and religious beliefs should be related.

It's unfair to punish success. Unfortunately since the Federal, State and Local governments tax us for close to 2.7 trillion and still can't manage to balance a budget the upper middle class and above have to shoulder the tax burden.

To say the middle class will never be rich is to admit defeat. There is more class mobility in our country than in any other on earth with over 100,000,000 population.

Also on your remark that economics and religious beliefs should be related, can you show me in the Bible, I assume you mean fundamental christians, where it talks about free-market economics, Keynesian theory or I will even settle for semi-logical conclusion you may be drawing from who know's where.

Who cares if the Bible talks about economics. It should be a non-issue.

My sons Mother Goose mentions six pence, maybe we should be forced follow that fairy tale instead.

Its foolish and naive to believe the tax cuts for the rich will better the lives of the middle class.

People that are "rich" make money work for them in the form of businesses and investments. People that work for money, usually stay working for money. Middle class just means you have enough to waste on consumer items. Rich people that become that way get the items after they get the money if they get them at all. All of this has nothing to do with taxes so far.

The people that make money work for them, they generate economic activity. They create jobs and generate tax revenues.
They are some of the most productive members of our society.

When was the last time someone got a job from a poor person?

It is hard to have tax cuts for the poor; they don't pay any taxes and get billions in federal subsidies each year. Oh wait, government employees and bureaucrats get about half of that money.
The rich are a small percentage and pay more taxes in total dollars than everyone else and get taxed in many different ways. It is difficult to have tax cuts that don't affect the "rich" in some way.

I don't know all the details of the latest tax cuts but I do know taxes are too complex and the government spends too much money.

You are right about one thing, the only thing that will help the middle class and the poor is their own hard work and an enlightened self interest, not the government.

dude, will you please stop attacking me for no reason at all.

Chris, why don't you do something about this, along with other couple of threads he attacked me for no reason at all?

I pay taxes too, not yet in the middle class, and I think I pay too much. However, I am responsible with little money that I make, and I'm quite happy because I know that with a lot of hard work, in a few years, I will be in the middle class. I will continue to be responsible, and in another few yars I will be "rich" $92.000.00 and up by the way is copnsidered "rich" by the libs.

Taxing the rich is wrong because they work hard to earn their money. Everyone should be taxed the same.

Stefan

Kingofcards, I don't post on this board very often and when I do, I usually have a run in with Stefan. I do not like Stefan's point of view. I think that he is naive and defends positions based solely on their affiliation rather than their merit. However, I respect him for defending what he believes in no matter what the cost. He may not be palatable but he deserves respect nonetheless. His staunch defense of the conservative side while misguided, is what he believes and should be granted the same voice as any one of us.

To disrespect someone based on their political view is short sided and close minded. To disrespect someone because of their ancestory, heritage, or place of immigration is simply stated, bigotry.

I may not agree with Stefan. I may not like Stefan. But I do respect his right to voice his opinion. It is the basic right of everyone of us.

Stefan,

Sorry,I warned him the first post I saw. Then I went back to bed (I work nights). When I woke up I did do something about it.

I have also turned this over to Mike and Jim to look at as he wished.
