Just wondering... I heard Bush won all of the debates the last time... I'd like to see if he can actually talk without getting me nervous. I think Kerry would have a tough time if Bush is competant.. I just think there is a lot of mud that can be drudged up in regards to Kerry's flip flopping stances...

Will watch.
And no, Bush did not win the debates last time. He came in with such low expectations, that the talking heads declared his ability to say a complete sentence a victory.
And Bush flip-flops as much as Kerry changes his stances..
My opinion is that this will be the mother of all debates. By the time the 90 minutes are up, both candidates will be sweating and Russert will look like a limp wash rag. I don't like Kerry's politics, but I respect his political savvy. He's like a fighter that knows he's going down for the count if he doesn't stage a rally. He'll come out swinging hard and fast and it'll take GW the first part of the debate to get over that early barrage. Kerry will have a hard time keeping that intensity up during the whole debate and will have a tendency to start to wonder and not keep on message. If GW can knock him off of message and get him floundering, it'll be all over. If however, Kerry sticks completely to his strategy, it could be a wild fight to the finish.
Either way, it should really be entertaining.

I liked how no breath appeared on the mirror when George stuck it under Gore's nose during that one debate. That was great.

did anyone watch CNN this morning? It was like watching CBS pregame Football coverage - they had Wolf in the middle and a couple other guys flanking him with a wild crowd in the ackground - When talking about the "match-up" and every time someone would say something about either candidate - one part of the crowd would go wild . . .at the end I was getting ready for Blizter to say, "Let's send you to Miami for the kickoff of today's game."
This feels like the Super Bowl of Politics today and likely we'll get the same crappy mtach-up here that we always get on the last weekend of January.

Well I think most people believe he did, even the Democrats... I do think Bush flip-flops from time to time but I don't remember an issue where Kerry hasn't flip flopped...
I will be watching. I will have a big bowl of buttered popcorn and a soda and will enjoy watching Kerry try to limit his answers to 60 secs. I hope the moderators bring up his changing nuances on Iraq. It will be like watching a fish flop in a frying pan.

Kerry doesn't flip-flop. Yes he does. Nuff said. More later.

I'll watch if I can pry the TV away from my daughters. With Jim Lehrer as the moderator though I don't think the questions will be anything that strike fear in either candidates' heart.
If Bush merely holds his own, acts confident about Iraq and the war on terror and comes off as presidential then it will be a victory for the President. All the pressure is on Kerry tonight.
Kerry tends to drone on, eventually what he says fades into a buzzing sound that can put you to sleep.
Bush speaks in programmed, scripted slogans, sometimes mangling the English language when he has to go off the script.
I'll be back with some of the greatest "Bushisms" - they show not only a problem with his speech, but with his very thinking abilty, such as it is.

I will be watching it. I can't wait to see what Bush is going to do to Kerry, but the debate I am looking forward to is Cheney vs. Edwards. I always enjoy CEOs putting trial lawyers in their place.

yes. Stephan - Cheney is the brains of the operation anyway.
Bush is just the friendly, faux folksy frontman - the rest of the neocons NEED Dubya because they're so personally unappealing.
wow! I unwittingly used 4 f-words in a row!

Yes, and Elvis and JFK live with all the extraterrestial biological entities at area 51. And of course, Pope is planning to reduce the population of planet Earth by 99% in the next three years.
