What are you planning on doing with your tax rebate check?
Saving?
Spending?
Paying down debt?
Just curious

Definitely planning on getting a bike so the wife doesn't have to drive me to the bus stop. Take my own gas entirely out of the equation.

It will go in the unexpected windfall savings account along with our bonuses and gift money. Then every six months or so we decide if we need to buy something or transfer it into a retirement account.

I'll apply it towards my home equity line of credit, as I do with any excess funds each month.

Saving to buy a dairy cow, vegetable seeds and a couple more fishing poles. Oh yeah, and maybe a couple of hens and a rooster.

If I was getting a check, I'd give it to a politician who disavowed socialism, i.e. promised to stop taking my money and giving it to other people.
