Last week I moved almost half of my 401K into short term accounts. They are very similar to savings accounts and are very low risk.

I have zero faith in the economy and the current adminstration. I'm not taking any chances with my nestegg until I feel comfortable with the economy. Just a 5% drop means my 401K goes down by $20,000. Too risky for my blood.

Looks liek I just lost everything in Wackovia. They are getting bought by citi group or Well Fargo for a few bucks a share.

I'm so glad I made the move to more secure funds. With the Dow down 600 points right now I saved thousands.

Wow. Now i'm really really glad I moved half of my money over to the short term investments. That move saved me about $40,000 in my 401K so far.

Still not ready to move my money back yet. Gonna wait for things to stabilize a little more.

Buy low, Sell High "My Friends".
