"defend"?? Uh - Ok KloD... If accusing me of defending makes you feel as though you have made whatever point it is you are attempting to make, go for it buddy!

"personal insults"?? I commended the guy for tossing out a super-terrific idea! Geeesh!

Interesting...
I'd say she's ignorant of one of a major historical moment in the Cold War, which is part of a basic knowledge of U.S. History.

Given the "warmth" of our message board relationship, I figured it was the least I can do!

Interesting...
As spokeswomen representing the Office of the Presidency of the United States of America - a knowledge of our history should not only be an expectation but a requirement as well.

The reporter asked a relevant question in which she had no clue about. Its not like a reporter asked her to compare/contrast the Boxer Rebellion with the dissidents in Tibet.

She failed to establish that she has a "basic understanding" of U.S. History.

I personally think the lady had a brain-fart and nothing more. It is impossible to be raised in this country and not know about the CMC.

I get that Jughead... As I've said, I am not attempting to defend the woman. How she made it to the point she is at in life, and seems to not know of the Bay of Pigs is surprising... However, I think it's a stretch to suggest that because she appeared to not possess knowledge of this specific matter, that she somehow does not possess a "basic understanding" of U.S. History...

Sorry It wasn't my suggestion - it was something she created.

So far Perino has proven that she does not have a "basic understanding" of American history.

Cool... But what if she took a U.S. History test, and scored a 90% or higher?

Does it matter?

There's no such thing as a "do over" in the political arena.
