Ugh,

Why oh why do Americans who probably think they are honoring the flag do things like this. Please look into how the US Flag is to be handled before you display it or wear it.

Nothing chaps my hide like seeing an old Flag hanging by threads from someone's house.

NO WAY.

I totally agree with Chris_Sanders post. I don't like this use of the flag but I will defend his right to do what he wants with his own property. His wearing of the flag like that says more about him than the flag.

To me it says he is self serving and disrespectful.

Your Honor, I would like to submit to the court that Kid Rock was not wearing a flag, so to speak, but a poncho with a flag design.

In my opinion, it's no worse than the hundreds of different designed shirts with an American flag pattern.

It wasn't a poncho. It was an American flag which he supposedly cut just before going on stage.

People have already tried to ammend the constitiution for the purpose of protecting the flag as a symbol and it failed miserably.

With what is needed to get a new ammendment on the constitution, its highly unlikely its going to happen

It's funny, I missed Janet's boob because my friends and I were in a drunken arguement about Kid Rock's flag. I can appreciate that he means well and thinks he's being a patriot by "wearing" it, but he needs to have a sit-down with a Marine about respect.

And, IMO, if you alter the constitition to prohibit free-speech in order to protect the flag, that flag is no longer worth protecting.

I am aware of that. When he first proposed it (as far as I know) he was my congressman.
I think he first brought this up about 7-8 years ago.

I disagree with him on this issue.

SO? JD Hayworth is wrong.

Amending the constitution to protect a symbol of this country? NO way.

Spend my tax dollars on more important things, please.
