U.S. Troops Said to Mistreat Elder Iraqi

U.S. soldiers who detained an elderly Iraqi woman last year placed a harness on her, made her crawl on all fours and rode her like a donkey, Prime Minister Tony Blair's personal human rights envoy to Iraq said Wednesday.

The envoy, legislator Ann Clwyd, said she had investigated the claims of the woman in her 70s and believed they were true.

Asked for details, Clwyd said during a telephone interview with The Associated Press that she "didn't want to harp on the case because as far as I'm concerned it's been resolved."
Resolved? You make an accusation like this and then say it's been resolved?

So many lies are going to come forth now. And our left wing friends here will buy into every single one of them and be calling for the dissolution of our military forces.

Slowly, the arab way is working. I thought they were insnane but maybe they really do know what they are doing. (The arabs I am talking about)

I have absolutely no idea what to say to all of this. I truely believe that 99.999999% of our soldiers are good men and women. People who wish to protect our country and our freedoms. People who wish to help rebuild Iraq.

This entire situation is simply "worst case scenario."

Look at it this way. No islamic government has condemned the U.S. All the state government newspapers are just venting.

Of course not. Getting Hussein out of the way helped them all. But that wont stop them from secretly supporting the rebels in Iraq to kill as many americans as possible.

look at Israel. Slowly the arab way of doing things is working. Not only that I saw one study on the news that Muslims will out number christians in France and italy in the next 100-150 years at the rate the population growth is heading. Nice!

In that same report it said only Germany would fight to keep their country from being a muslim majority. (Speaking on european countries on the main land.)

Really, I hadn't read any stories like that.

Maybe it's best i we never knew about these stories and just trusted that the Feds in Wasington DC were doing "their best" on our behalf.

Its has happened in every war we have been involved in. My point is what happens to our guys is 1000% worse. You cant compare what happened to the iraqis to what happens to our guys.

o my question is why is what happened to the iraqis a HUGE story and what happens to our guys who are POW's page 8 news?

Now if we were killing their pow's and we they were killing the POW's they have then BOTH should be front page new right? Well they ARE killing their POW's (page 8) we strip theirs and its Page 1. I just dont get it.

I also dont understand americans thinking that this is the first time our soldiers have ever done this. How about what we did to japenese americans in ww2? How about what we did to the german POW's once we learned what ther german were doing to our POW's? Once we learned they were killing american POW's we didnt even bother trying to take POW's. We just shot everyone. And no one said a word then. Fact is, if we learn they are torturing and killing us when we surrender we dont give much slack to the POW's we capture.

when i say "religion"

I don't mean the beliefs of an individual, just when they start following some "leader" - al-Sadr, the Pope, fundamentalist creeps, etc...

Then what is this paranoia based on. I have never heard this absurd notion (future tense or otherwise) uttered by anyone else.
