well, i voted this morning. i can tell you one thing: i am not worried about vote fraud at the polling place, but rather sheer stupidity on the part of those running them.
aside from the fact that every person working there was older than 40yearfan (which is a feat in and of itself), no one had a clue as to what they were doing. the woman handing out ballots was definitely "slow," mentally speaking. she kept trying to give me the democratic ballot. i kept telling i needed the republican one, and she kept trying to give me instructions on how to fill it out. i finally had to say, "no no no, not blue, pink!" she got it after that. then, another guy working there asked me how to spell republican. he was surprised it wasn't "rebublican." i was all

I wouldn't be so hard on the election workers. This is not a NASCAR pit crew or a brain surgery team. It just happens that people available to work on a Tues from 6a-7p tend to be retired. They do a good job. They checked my photo ID (yay prop 202!), gave me my ballot, and I had no problems whatsoever.
That said, the turnout was pathetic. Polls opened up at 6am. I voted at 11:30 am and flipped the counter on the machine from 99 to 100. To put this in context, there were at least 100 people in line before 6am for the 2004 election.
Maybe because almost everything on the ballot was uncontested. The only thing was the republican governor's primary, but I live in a heavily republican district and nobody seemed to care.

Sorry jenna, but that was me. I've got to quit crossdressing in public.
