Tim Russert

Drudge and the NY Daily News are reporting he has died of a heart attack. http://www.nypost.com/seven/06132008...att_115384.htm
If true, this is very sad. This guy was one tough reporter.

Sad day. It has been confirmed. I have watched his Sunday show religiously for the last 15 yrs or so. Very saddened by the news. God rest your soul...great man.

Wow... Very, very sad... I also was a regular viewer of Meet The Press, and really appreciated the way in which Russert conducted himself on that show.

Wow... way too young... A great, talented man is gone... doesn't leave many left in the media-world these days...

RIP Tim Russert

Sad day indeed.
A unique broadcaster. Sunday mornings will not be the same.

RIP Mr Russert.

There are no word to adequately describe how I feel.

A great loss.

Too bad. Too bad for his family. Too bad for the news world. He was one of the few that seemed apolitical.

I really had come to enjoy him -- and he was just ecstatic looking forward to this election, said if the media didn't screw it up by sucking on all the rumors and innuendos, it could be one of the most important and clearly defining campaign seasons in modern times.

Almost like a friend of the family died in my house. RIP. Kelly O'Donnell (SP) wondered aloud if now that Tim is in heaven if he knows who won the upcoming Presidential election. Fair is a word being used by both Republicans and Democrats that are on MSNBC right now. First time I've heard Colin Powell in a long time. Many people I've never heard from in a long time going on MSNBC to talk about Tim. Edwards had a good segment about Tim.

I enjoyed him. He cared about doing his job well and wasn't mesmerized by his own brilliance, like so many media people.
