The Unknown...
What do you guys think?
Ghosts
UFOs
Bigfoot
Demonic possesion
Do you guys think any of this is real? I believe in ghosts, as I said in the sodomy thread, and I also believe in UFOs.
Any of you had any strange experiences or know of anyone who has?

Oh boy, this is an interesting topic.
First of all, being a believer in the Bible, I do believe in the supernatural.
I think that demonic possesion and ghosts indeed do exist. I do, however, also believe that once a person lets the Holy Spirit in their heart, demonic possesion becomes impossible, and the deamon and the HS can not co- exist.
I've known people who were into black magic, and you wouldn't believe what kind of stuff they've seen before they got saved.
Bigfoot- I really don't know. I have never done much research on that topic so I am going to pass on that one.
As far as the UFO's go, I am not really sure. The Bible doesn't speak of life on other planets, and nobody has ever proved beyond reasonable doubt that there is.
I've seen pictures of the UFO's, heard several people who claimed to have been abducted by alians. Many dismiss them as being psychos, but they were all in a perfectly good menthal health.
I think that the "abductions" are actually products of the deep sleep (can not remember the exact scientific term right now) when we have intense, violent dreams, and our body acctually releases some type of chemical that paralyzes us for a few minutes. So, we wake up, still remember the dream, but we can not move.
I am a Sci- Fi junkie. I love to research alian stories, but I haven't really found anything yet.

I believe in extra-terrestials. It is inconceivable to me that Earth is the only planet capable of sustaining and producing life.
I don't know about UFO's/alien visits though. I don't think it is possible for organisms to acheive prolonged, long distance Space Travel.
I have heard alot of Ghost stories and have friends that swear by it. But have no first hand experiences so I am skeptical.
I don't believe in Demons or Bigfoot.

"Night terrors". Your brain secretes a chemical when you sleep that puts you in a state of paralysis during certain sleep cycles.
It becomes problematic, when you wake up when you aren't supposed to. It supposed to be a very frightening feeling, kind of like someone is standing over you and you can't move.
(Opps! I started posting this and then realized that you had said some of the same things)
Most abductions are really people experiencing this. Suggestion plays a part, which is why everyone tells the same story.

I believe there are ghosts, but I think I'd use the word "spirits." I believe in UFO's and demonic possession, too. As or Bigfoot, the jury is still out on that one, but I'm leaning more towards "no."
I think that's why I'm such a huge fan of "The X-Files." It's something about the unkown/paranormal/unnatural that is just so fascinating.

If you believe in god, you have to believe in the devil.

I believe that there is probably some form of life on other planets, but I don't believe they have visited Earth.
Bigfoot is a hoax.
I don't know about spirits or demons walking the Earth. I believe that there are beings (I'll use the term "angels" for lack of anything better) among us sent by God to watch over us, but I don't think that "demons" or "devils" actually possess human beings.

I believe that we are not alone - but doubt we have been visited.
Visited the "Bell Witch Cave" in Adams Tennessee over the weekend. The Bell Witch was(is) a spirit that haunted the Bell family in the early 1800's - and is credited with killing John Bell, the family patriarch. Lots of wierd stuff is supposed to have happened up there. The witch is also the inspiration for the "Blair Witch Project".

I've heard of the Bell witch before, but I heard it more as a ghost story before. The south is very haunted; every house I lived in was haunted by some spirit. My house in Wake Forest, NC was over 100 years old, and one of the former owners committed suicide in my brother's bedroom. All kinds of weird things would happen.
My grandparents house in Bleinheim, SC (in the middle of nowhere) is subtly haunted. You feel it more than anything else. It doesn't bother me because it would have to be a long since departed relative.

I might sound kind of weird for saying this, and I mentioned this in the sodomy thread, but my girlfriend sees ghost/spirits all the time.
Her mother is a very "spiritual" person, and is able to do somethings that defy all logic. Sounds hokey but I believe her. According to my girlfriend and my girlfriend's cousin, she is able to talk to you in your dreams.
Here is a strange thing that happened at my old apartment (from my post on the sodomy thread):
My girlfriend's cousin walked into my old apartment one day, and he gave a very strange look down the hallway. My girlfriend and I asked him what he saw and he told us he saw an Indian (Native American variety) peek out of my exroommate's room.
To make a long story short, my exroommate was a drug addict (which is why he is an exroommate now). He was overdosing on a mixture of ketamines, LSD, and something else (what an idiot). I was trying to help him, and I noticed that he had unplugged his computer monitor for some odd reason. I asked him why he had done that, and he told me that an Indian had been sitting in front of his computer (the part about him unplugging still didn't make much sense). Very strange. He (my roommate) never heard what my girlfriend's cousin had said, so for him to say that was kind of spooky.

Back in IL I was hanging at a friends house during the winter. We were knocking back some beers when the backdoor started shaking and the doorknob was jiggling. My buddy looked outside and there was nothing...except fresh footprints in the new fallen snow walking up to the backdoor but never walking away from the backdoor. Fresh snow, fresh tracks and no person. Nor was their any way a person could have retraced their steps backwards since the footprints were perfect in the snow. Very strange.
