This is actually from a site that's a bit goldbugish, "people who think gold is going to a zillion dollars on our financial collapse" or doomerish if you wish but filter that out however you want, it's still highly disturbing to watch this.
The whole idea on gold as a safe haven is assuming a lot.
Mostly it's just shiny pretty metal that's heavy, you can't eat it.
All this post-apocalyptic craziness has me wondering if I should invest into hydroponics. It's getting a little push beyond the NORML crowd as a way to grow food in a self-sustained environment. There's a guy in AJ with a greenhouse in his pool, solar-powered generators for his hydroponically grown vegetables. He also runs a website that promotes the same and he's making money hand over fist.

When I play rock, paper, scissors, I keep a glass of water in my hand and when my opponent throws down I throw the water in his face and say "Water". Beats all three, scissors can't cut-it, paper dissolves and the rock sinks. Plus it usually surprises the hell out of them.
