This is actually from a site that's a bit goldbugish, "people who think gold is going to a zillion dollars on our financial collapse" or doomerish if you wish but filter that out however you want, it's still highly disturbing to watch this.

If everything collapses gold will be worthless. A case of bottled water and a shotgun, OTOH ...

Yeah I looked at it mostly for the video, these goldbug sites get off the rails fast, which is why I mentioned it in the first place.
The video is just amazing, very few times you actually get to see the footage of that stuff, it's chaos.

Yep.
The whole idea on gold as a safe haven is assuming a lot.
Mostly it's just shiny pretty metal that's heavy, you can't eat it.

All this post-apocalyptic craziness has me wondering if I should invest into hydroponics. It's getting a little push beyond the NORML crowd as a way to grow food in a self-sustained environment. There's a guy in AJ with a greenhouse in his pool, solar-powered generators for his hydroponically grown vegetables. He also runs a website that promotes the same and he's making money hand over fist.

Interesting points lost among a wash of disturbing propaganda.
I had the same feeling.

When I play rock, paper, scissors, I keep a glass of water in my hand and when my opponent throws down I throw the water in his face and say "Water". Beats all three, scissors can't cut-it, paper dissolves and the rock sinks. Plus it usually surprises the hell out of them.
