I would include 75% other instituations in this country as well.

No, because those places are more interested in making money and keeping you in the seat and cashing your check. The best place for finer critical thinking, reasoning, etc. is studying under someone who has and uses those qualties.

Excellent...instead of posting your own thoughts, you'll find some random trash on the internet to try and prove....what?

That guy had no facts except for his disbelief. OF COURSE if you don't believe the Bible is true then it's going to sound like a bunch of baloney! That guy obviously doesn't believe the Bible and therefore mocks it outright.

The thing is, God inspired Moses to write the first five books of the Old Testament...so if there was a rip taken, he'd probably know about it.

That link provided nothing to this conversation except to make fun of what some of us believe in. At least some of us don't have to resort to finding websites poking fun at what you believe.

Thats true, I meant to add something to it and then got distracted.

I'd delete it but you have now immortalized it. Oh well.

You can find websites to make fun of what I believe in. Go ahead give it a try.

Anything I do actually believe in you probably do as well, unless of course, it has to do with politics or religion.

I have decided to stop posting for a few days. The tone of these posts has taken a turn for the worse. Have a good weekend and I will be back on weekend.

Do you understand how peer review works?

Scientist send there documented research, including all of their calculations to other scientists in their field. Creationists will publish research without doing this.

Actually, I don't think anyone here really knows what you believe...the Christians here are the only ones stating what our faith is, and why we believe it.

Granted, this is a thread about us defending ourselves, so I guess it makes sense.

That is not what this thread is about. This thread is here for Christian's to prove God's existence (not you, but others have claimed that God is "proveable".

And I gladly tell anyone what I believe. I think that if I discuss what others believe, I should tell others how I believe.

Despite what some of you think, I have respect for all of you and all of your beliefs. I don't think much of creationism from a scientific standpoint, but you are free to believe it.

If you want me to state what I do believe in I will.

I meant no offense by posting that link, but while looking up agnostic I stumbled upon it. I agree the sarcastic nature of the writer is overboard, but it explains why I do not believe. I should have mentioned that under my link, but it seemed unimportant compared with completing my lawn mowing before the sprinklers came on.

I've stated how I feel.

Like you said, it's a matter of faith. You can't really explain why you think a certain way. You can try to give examples but that only goes so far for either side. No one can truly prove a gut feeling. There's nothing wrong with that. This should be a discussion on all of our views and not an effort to change everyones views to match our own. By the way, kudos to you for stated how you feel and why, but not telling us we need to think your way. While it's very frustrating to read some of your posts when I think your stubborn (as you probably feel about mine) you have posted them in a very civil manner, which is something I'm not very used to.

I know about the lawn stuff

The problem I have with that article, and kind of with you for saying it's why you don't believe, is that the guy had no facts or anything, just a basic disbelief of everything that is in the Bible.

He really didn't state why he didn't believe it except that he thought it was some fantasy book...and it even amazes me that someone who thinks it's so fake would even take the time to write about it.

It's sad but there will always be people who dedicate their live to things they hate. There was a poll a while back that showed that the people who listened to Howard Stern the most were the ones that hated him. Instead of just not listening they tuned in so they could complain. You find people like that for everything whether it's religion, media, lifestyle etc. I couldn't care less what the person next to me thinks as long as they aren't bothering me.
