I have been so fed up with the Republicans and others that say we can drill our way out of our oil dependency. We have 3 percent of the world's oil reserves, and we use 25% of the world's annual oil usage!! Even if we tapped all the oil in our territory, it would just be a short term stop gap. We have to conserve and turn to other energy alternatives if we want to get away from foreign oil consumption. Like T. Boone Pickens says, drill all you want, you HAVE to turn to oil alternatives.
The "Tell Congress To Drill" AD is really a joke, imho.

I still have a gut feeling Shaq will be better next season (2008/2009) after our docs have a full off season to work their magic on the Big Saguaro!
Drilling isn't the answer, but not drilling isn't the solution either.
Cue Paris Hilton, but renewable energy and alt fuel isn't going to pop on the scene. A combination of drilling and alt fuel research would be a better answer to the problems, with the ultimate goal of eliminating fossil fuel needs for America, and those that aren't eliminated entirely being supported 100 percent by domestic oil.
Drill, and research/develop alts. Don't do just one or the other. Or, just yell partisan insults in the Congress...methinks that is the only thing that will happen anyway.

Not much control - The Google monkeys on their "Editorial Review" supposedly makes sure that all Google ads are reviewed and approved before appear on the web pages.
