I thought they had chemical weapons. And, a NOVA on germ warfare, which was fascinating, detailed how Saddam LOVED germ weapons. Not, only that, they discovered Iraq had actually purchased Anthrax, and other nasty germs, from American companies. So, those germs went somewhere into there.

My thoughts exactly. The "only" threat I thought he posed was in germ warfare, but even then I wasn't particularly concerned that he would ever be stupid enough to attack us.

From day one I thought Iraq was a smoke screen for a hidden agenda.
I thought they had no WMDs as described for the justification of war.

Because I didn't feel they had a "stockpile" and I didn't think they had ANY nuclear weapons, so I didn't really think any of the choices applied.

Pre 9-11 I thought Iraq was some social disease I had never heard of before.

I thought they had a bunch of bio weapons, no nukes and funded terrorists. I think they moved their weapons (you can't convince me they had no bio weapons). I know they funded terrorists, but not ones out for Americans' deaths (at least until they kill all the jews in israel first).

I thought about Iraq about as much as I do about Belize's Olympic program

I never knew what to believe about Iraq, but it was always a concern to me Russia would have an arms fire sale and turn Iraq into a formidable army. I guess China never felt so obligated to send arms since they were already a big buyer of Iraqi oil. Iraq wasn't in position to force China's hand, and China has never had any global political interest except that which reinforces their own hegemony. But if China ever decided it was in their best interests ... that was really scare to me.

And now China finances the war effort while we are happy with our $200.00 tax credit.

Brilliant!

I thought Iraq was U S's poodle, to be used as a patsy for the middle east control freaks.
