Students protesting again in PHX

On the news last night they interviewed some Mexican whack job who skipped school "to protest". She said she was "protesting" to protect Mexican immigrant's rights & she was waving a Mexican flag.

What a joke and what an idiot. Illegal immigrants do not have the rights that our US citizens do. If they want to go through the normal naturalization process & abide by our laws, then do it.

If they are saying that the Mexicans have "the right" to come here illegally, trash our lands (garbage in the desert, etc), hang out in parks to be picked up for day labor, get free medical care that our citizens do not have access to yet still foot the bill, not learn our language & assimilate into OUR society and not make the US a "Northern Mexico" and finally for them to not be held responsible for their own actions, then I think that it should be a felony for them to be an illegal in this country.

I think if an INS truck went to Central Ave yesterday, how many people would be left standing? All these students protested because it was an excuse to ditch class. If American students protested in any other country, they'd be deported or imprisoned immediately.

Enough of the PC bull crap. It's time to swing a heavy stick & use it effectively. And often. PC crying has made us weak. It's time to whip it out and womp up side the head. If they don't like how they are being treated here, then go back to your own country.

Do you really thinking "womping" these people "up side the head" with a heavy stick will solve the problem? I don't think so.

yup. Sure worked with Teddy Roosevelt in the early 1900s. Speak softly and carry a big stick. And swing it. Often. Big stick diplomacy works as history shows.

In continuation with his "Corollary to the Monroe Doctrine" melded with FDR's "Good Neighbor Policy" later, we have recognized Latin America as a region where we expanded foreign trade, the US worked to be a power in the western hemisphere, and then took a step back in intervening with military power in this area, by using strategy and cooperation to seek resolution to issues within our hemisphere. Both helped establish relations with our neighbors to the south.

However, the issue is now within our country's own borders. Our Good Neighbor Policy needs to be amended with a "Cautious Neighbor Policy" in which we will allow people to come to our country, but they must do so lawfully.

Maybe if people were afraid to come here UNLAWFULLY, they might take the time & proper steps to naturalize themselves like my ancestors did.

Many of the students protesting are citizens and percieve the laws to be an assault on Lations.

Many of the illegals are indeed exploited by the bussiness community and the illegals are doing very hard work for little pay.

Calling these students idiots and calling them ****ing Mexicans and trash, etc is nothing but hateful rhetoric IMO.

RIght or wrong they have the right to protest and have their voices heard because this is the United States of America: the land of immigrants.

You people are advocating violence vs. people, whom the vast majority (probably 99%) are non-violent and simply trying to make a better life for their families.

A better life can simply start by going through the proper channels to become a legal immigrant and thereby enjoy the full rights of becoming an american citizen.

Many of them are idiots. On KTAR this AM they interviewed a student who helped promote the march. Many people viewed this as a Mexico vs US issue. The one student said that the issue is totally being missed. It's not Mexico vs US. It is the US trying to halt illegal immigration. The people who come here legally are welcomed. They are encouraged to assimilate into society.

The ones who are crying that busineess take advantage of them have no one to blame except for themselves. If they did come here legally, they would find honest work. We have more than 2 dozen employees who have done so.

I did not call them "trash" as you have accused me of. Reread my first post and you will discover that you are wrong.

"If they are saying that the Mexicans have "the right" to come here illegally, trash our lands (garbage in the desert, etc), hang out in parks to be picked up for day labor, get free medical care that our citizens do not have access to yet still foot the bill, not learn our language & assimilate into OUR society and not make the US a "Northern Mexico" and finally for them to not be held responsible for their own actions, then I think that it should be a felony for them to be an illegal in this country."

They only "rights" an illegal alien has are the following:

Illegal immigration is a crime..........
Illegal Aliens' 'Rights'

1. You have the right to remain silent and refuse to answer any questions.

2. Anything you say may be used against you in a court of law

3. As we discuss this matter, you have a right to stop answering my questions at any time you desire.

4. You have a right to a lawyer before speaking to me, to remain silent until you can talk to him/her, and to have him/her present when you are being questioned.

5. If you want a lawyer but cannot afford one, one will be provided to you without cost.

6. Do you understand each of these rights I have explained to you?

7. Now that I have advised you of your rights, are you willing to answer my questions without an attorney present?

Maybe so, but these people here are advocating violence vs. the Mexicans and that is not the solution.

You want to solve the problem go after the business community first.

Secondly, it seems to me, that some in this post are assuming that the latino students that are protesting are illegal, which I would wager that 95% of them are not.

You cannot go around "whomping" latinos over the head, because you can not differenciate an illegal from a US citizen just by sight. These are knee-jerk angry reactions from people who really ( I assume) are not personally affected by illegal immigration.

Has anybody on this board lost their chance a picking fruit for 1.75 hr to an illegal immigrant? Somehow I doubt it.

True - where else...but in the U.S. can the hispanic community shout "La raza unida jamas sera vencida" and not raise an eyebrow.
