I don't see how it is inciteful.

I am asking a man who says that he must be proven with "Hard Facts" everything on this earth to prove to me the existance God.

Youre right, I can avoid it, and I will. But seriously, using a conviction that we all know Stefan holds dear, his Christianity is inciteful.

Im only crying about it becasue this is going to end up sone 25 page pissing contest between trying people trying to prove their points. You yourself said these forums were about open discussion Chris. I dont think youre looking to discuss the possiblity of Gods existence with Stefan. I think you're looking for a way to prove him worng or make him look a hypocrit, and thats not needed. We all have our feelings about this topic and we've all been over it again and again and again. And of course we get nowhere.

Stefan, please dont feel baited into answering this thread, and it will die a quick death. That would be best for veryone.

We tried this several times. Search for the 20 page discussions we had on this topic.

You can also read, "Case for Faith" and "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel, or "More than a Carpenter" by MacDowel, or "Christian Apologetics" by Geisler.

These four books should do the job.

You are absolutely right. I am not going to get into another pissing contest, but I did recommend the books that answer the question. I think this is fair to everyone.

I am just trying to get him to admit that some things in this earth must be taken on faith and belief. You trap yourself when you make singular statements like "Everything must be proven to exist to me"

Again, there is nothing inciteful about it.

He made the statement, not me. I am aware he is a Christian...so am I.

I am certainly within my right to call him on making what is basically a statement that he probably didn't really mean to make or made without thinking through.

Chris, as I said, read those books. There is all the proof you need in there.

It's OK with me if somebody wants to accept some things based on faith and belief. I am not OK with somebody taking his belief and without any evidence pushing it as a FACT.

Seriously there is no pissing contest. I 100% believe in God's existance. I will check out the books, because I couldn't answer my own question.

Either you feel a spiritual connection or you don't.

Thanks for clarification on what you meant on the other thread. We can agree there.

No problem Chris. It's just that we tried this discussion before, and it was really terrible. It turned into personal insults and other stupidities. I think those books will answer many questions.

And yes, occasinally, I do make statement that are oversimplifications of overgeneralizations, and not clarify my position. I plead guilty to that one. I do need to make sure I clarify my positions.
