Signs of Rove Spin Control Machine Breaking Down

Not sure what is going on lately, but I've noticed the following in recent days:

1. State department official states in interview that the US was guilty of "stupidity" in Iraq. A day or so later, he issues an apology for the statement since it didn't reflect U.S. Policy.

2. Bush admitted last week that comparisons of Iraq to Vietnam and the Tet Offensive may be accurate.

3. Yesterday it was reported that President Bush will be changing the message of his public speeches from Iraq to the economy.

4. Today Rep. Senator Lindsey Graham disparages US policy in Iraq and states that Iraq is on the verge of chaos.

Not sure if the wheels are falling off or what, but the Administration and its supporters seem to be "off message" lately.

It's a highly technical term, it's complicated, but in layman's terms it's called panic.

I guess we can add to the list that the WH has announced it will no longer be using the term "stay the course." Why did we need an announcement on that? It sounds like they are just trying to set up jokes for the late night stand up comics.
