Should "Tea Bagger" be banned from P&R
Sorry meant to have a public poll option.
Should the term Tea Bagger be a banned term when it comes to the Tea Bag party?
Majority should rule here. I am looking for people who actually post/read in P&R, which is why I want it to be public.

I voted no... however, I need to say that I do find the term offensive. That said, there are many times things are said in the P&R Forum that can be deemed offensive. I think people should know that this can happen in this forum, and then decide whether or not you want to partake...
I really despise the term Teabaggers. It's meaning is indeed offensive. And the manner in which it's used is degrading. I am certainly not a member of the party to which this term is connected, however, IMO I do feel that if a liberal group or party were being referenced in an equally offensive manner, the outrage would be substantial - both here in the general public...

Should the vote be close, I will count yours as a yes then.

I personally find the term inoffensive, however...
If someone who regularly posts here does find it offensive, while the majority of others do not, a precedent will be set where other "personally-not-widely-offensive" terms will be used.
Testing the boundaries of common decency is the American way.

No need Chris... I don't want the term banned. Your poll might have been better worded if you asked,
- Is the term Offensive, yes or no?
- Should the term be banned, yes or no?
Just because I find the term offensive doesn't mean I think it should be banned...

I find the whole question offensive.
Seriously? This is what we've come to?
If you are a member of the Tea Bag Party, are you not a Tea Bagger?

I don't find it offensive myself, but can see why people wouldn't want it used to describe a political movement. No doubt that some use it to get under the skin of other posters, which is my beef.

I voted and whatever goes goes, don't really care but yet another example of how voting dosen't make anything right.
You can vote to do a lot of things that in fact are wrong.

No doubt. P&R is no place for wimps. And yes, I do agree with you that some can be thinned skinned at times (we all can, when the right buttons are pressed).
Like I said, JMHO.

Yeah, there is a sexual connotation with the term Tea Bagger, which existed before the Tea Party recently became revelant, so what?
Get over it!
You want to bring attention to the subject?
Suffer the consequences.
Maybe they should have thought about it before hand.

Who is Tea Bagger anyway?
With all of the name changes going on here, it's hard to keep up.
